My favorite wildlife encounter of 2025! I had many to choose from, especially from this trip, but seeing bear cubs was high on my list. We almost missed it, but as soon as we spotted the mother grizzly and 2 cubs walking along the bank of the river, we turned around to stop. They continued walking and eventually swam across the river and disappeared into the trees.

Northern lights tonight! I hadn’t seen them since May’24, I was doubtful with the cloud coverage but the G4 storm pulled through!

It’s always been a dream of mine to see the northern lights and I still can’t believe they were visible in Corvallis last night. At first we couldn’t see them but the camera picked it up. By 2300 we could see them with the naked eye. Such a cool and beautiful experience. #northernlights
